Getting blind-sided
By adminMy marriage was one that made our friend envious, one that made me proud, and one that blind-sided me out of nowhere. My husband travelled a lot, but that wasn’t the problem. The problem was during one of his business trips he acted differently. Normally we would talk at least three times a day and this time it seemed impossible to get a hold of him. I chalked it up to him being busy. Then one morning a knock on the door would change my life. I had just been served divorce papers from a local Scottsdale divorce lawyers office. I was floored, literally. I sat there for what must have been hours on the floor by the front door staring at this paper. That coward waited until he had to go out of town next to do it. I never spoke to my husband again. Our lawyers spoke for us and I was able to be excused from the required meetings. I suppose his guilt got the best of him because according to my Arizona divorce attorney, I got to keep everything that was ours. To be honest, I didn’t want any of it. I sold the house and moved on with my life. But I will never forget the day that I was so blind-sided I couldn’t move.
